“THE BIRDS”

Nikolas Antoniou was born in Larnaca, Cyprus in 1988. He studied at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the University of Western Macedonia. Today he maintains a studio in Larnaca where he lives and works. As an artist, he has always been captivated by the human figure, endlessly exploring its forms and expressions through his paintings. However, his practice has driven me to seek new ways to explore the depth and meaning of human existence. In his exploration, abstraction gradually took precedence, leading him to delve into the creation of abstract landscapes. This unexpected shift revealed a fundamental truth: amidst the chaos that surrounds us,he is driven by a relentless pursuit of balance and meaning.

His recent forays into abstract landscapes have further solidified this realisation. Through his art, he aspires to reconcile the disparate elements of existence, offering viewers a glimpse into the harmonious equilibrium he strives to achieve.
